Two people are seriously injured in an accident in the Northeim district. The B64 was closed for several hours.
Einbeck – A serious accident occurred on the B64 on Friday afternoon (September 2nd) in the Northeim district. According to the police, a 73-year-old man in Osnabrück was coming from Brunsen in the direction of Wenzen.
The car left the roadway to the right on a sloping road, drove through the adjoining ditch and overturned. The 73-year-old and his wife, who was also in the car, were seriously injured in the accident.

First responders took care of the 73-year-old and the 72-year-old until the rescue workers arrived. Both were then flown to the responsible hospitals in rescue helicopters.
The B64 was closed for one and a half hours for the rescue and recovery work. Property damage of around 12,000 euros was caused to the car and the embankment area. (sne)
