Not long ago we were talking to you about the long-awaited Surface Pro 8 , a new version of the device that, at first, we could equate with an iPad Pro, but with an obvious more than notable difference: it is not a digital tablet, rather, it does the functions of a laptop and a tablet itself, all in one.
A Surface Pro expected by many users, to which Microsoft seems to have decided to renew some of its most interesting technical specifications, but which, nevertheless, would have a design very similar to the previous version.
But this time we have seen the arrival of Surface Laptop 4 , your new laptop with Windows 10 , which brings some very useful features, and which joins the rest of the Surface family.
Curiously, it retains a practically identical appearance to the previous generation, in whose new range we can continue to find the Alcantara and metabolized finishes, as well as a somewhat different color palette thanks to the arrival of the “Ice Blue” finish, which replaces the previous one “ Cobalt Blue ”.
In addition, this new laptop will be available in two versions with different sizes: with a 13.5-inch screen or with a 15-inch screen . It seems that, at least for the moment, Microsoft does not dare to take the step of offering a laptop with a 16-inch screen, as Apple did for the first time some time ago.
However, and as we will know in the next section, the renovation is actually quite modest, although the new version adds 11th generation Intel Core processors , combined with Intel Iris XE graphics. We can also choose versions equipped with the AMD Zen 2 series processor and an AMD Radeon Graphics Microsoft Surface Edition GPU .
What do we find in the new Microsoft Surface Laptop 4? The different configurations and improvements
In this new generation, the choice between two families of processors remains, which means that the user can choose between Intel or AMD. For Intel , we find an 11th generation Intel Core processor . While, for AMD , it would be the Ryzen 4000 series.
The prices, as we will see below, vary from 1,129 euros for the 13.5-inch version with AMD processor and 256 GB SSD, to 2,699 euros for the Intel Core i7-1185G7 version with 1 TB SSD and 32 GB of RAM.

And what about its design?
As we have mentioned, in reality this new Surface Laptop 4 does not offer a really different design and appearance from the previous generation. Although it is true that it continues to be as elegant as it is fun to use , we did not find many distinctions.
One of its main design features has to do with its combination of aluminum and Alcantara fabric , which has always made it a laptop with a unique and attractive look and feel.
And it is that having a fabric-covered palm rest, even though it may seem like a less strange choice, ends up being quite pleasant. And far from what we might think at first, it is a resistant option, which has become enormously popular among users of the brand.
But Microsoft also offers the possibility of choosing a somewhat simpler model, with an all-aluminum design. In any case, the color variations range from platinum to black, through shades of ice blue or sand.
