WhatsApp finally displays full-width media files on iPhone

It seems that the year 2021 did not start on the right foot for some popular instant messaging applications, as it has happened with WhatsApp , especially after Facebook (its current owner), announced a new privacy policy that ended up raising blisters in almost everyone , to the point that some sources have already pointed out that this app has lost a good number of users.

Despite this, the company has been working on the development of new functions. And this is what happened with the launch of the automatic adjustment of the preview of multimedia files .

Specifically, this new functionality will improve the visualization of the different multimedia files (mainly video and images) within the conversation itself, something that, in fact, had already been requested by many users.

Thus, through WhatsApp update 2.21.71, its developers have implemented this new functionality, which will greatly help those users who habitually share many photos and videos.

Prior to deployment, post, image, or video previews were cropped to a square format. However, after their arrival, the multimedia files will appear in their original proportion , which will offer the possibility of being able to better view the file without having to be redirected to view it in its entirety.

WhatsApp also includes the ability to delete messages in group conversations

But this is not the only interesting update implemented by WhatsApp recently. Until now, the app allowed messages to be deleted only in two-way communications. However, you have now decided to extend this functionality to groups as well .

Thus, each user could finally delete their messages after seven days. As long as, yes, this functionality has been activated in the group. In this way, the owner of the same may reserve the right to activate or not this function .

Of course, the messages could not completely disappear from the group, since any other user could avoid their deletion simply by adding it as a favorite, forwarding it or even saving it.

As we can see, these are two truly useful functionalities, which had already been requested by many users in recent months. And, apparently, it will not be the last news that the company will bring us soon.

Social networks have changed many paradigms of our lives and the way we behave with our children is not exempt from it. If you are an active parent on these platforms and you are used to sharing content in which your children are present, it can give clear clues to your parenting style, or at least that is what a study carried out by the University of Bloomington reveals.
