The Google account becomes an essential tool that offers us access to all the services provided by this company for free, and extremely useful, such as Gmail, Google Drive or having our own channel on YouTube (only to cite a few simple examples).
Gmail , for example, can become our main email account, not only because of the advantages and simplicity of use it offers, but also because it has 15 GB of free storage space, which is not bad at all ( in my case I have had a Gmail address for 13 years, and I have not exceeded half the storage capacity).
What’s more, the Google account is of vital importance to be able to access all the services, becoming even more important than before since the company decided to unify all the services in a single account.
However, it is possible that, if we have not used the various Google services for a long time, we have chosen to delete the account . Although it is a fairly simple and straightforward process, it may also happen that we regret having done it. What can we do about it?
Is it possible to recover a deleted Google account?
Although we have deleted our Google account, the company itself informs us of the possibility of recovering it, although it is true that the success will depend on the time that has elapsed since the moment we made the request for deletion , and the moment in which we have regretful.
Even though Google itself does not report the maximum time that could elapse before a deleted account can be recovered, it is likely that recovery is possible when only a few days or one or two weeks have passed at most .
However, if enough time has passed, such as a few months, the content stored in the account is most likely not ultimately recoverable . Therefore, once we have repented, it is vitally important to act quickly. And then we explain how you can do it.
Using the Google account recovery wizard
At the very least, Google provides a very useful tool to make the account recovery process easier. And we will do all of this through the account recovery wizard . In fact, the steps to follow are quite simple.
To begin, we must access the official account recovery page. In this first form we have to enter the email address corresponding to the deleted account, and the password .
Then a series of questions that the assistant asks us will appear in order to confirm that, indeed, we are the dream of that deleted account, such as its creation date or the alternative email address (or recovery) that we used previously.
Once this is done, we log into the account, using the last password used.
Some aspects to keep in mind
Although it is not strictly necessary, it is advisable to do the recovery process from the computer and web browser that we used previously with the different Google services.
If everything goes well and, above all, it has not been long since then, Google will offer us the possibility of recovering the deleted account . Then it is advisable to change the password and finally check if everything is where it should be (that is, basically if there has been no loss of data, emails in Gmail or files in Google Drive).
In case it is not possible to recover all the data, or not to recover the account itself, the only step that remains is to create a Google account , doing it again from the beginning, as if we had never had an account before.
