How to edit our Memoji on iPhone

With the arrival of iOS 11 Apple introduced a series of animated emoji characters known by the name Animoji , designed to mimic the facial expressions of users. However, starting with iOS 12 Apple introduced support for Memoji , which, in essence, would be personalized Animoji with a human face, which would look like the user who creates them.

In this way, a Memoji can do practically the same things as an Animoji, mimicking our facial expressions to allow for videos, photos, and interactions with friends and family.

In addition, in both iOS 12 and iOS 13 it is possible to use both the Memoji and the Animoji in photographs through the camera using the Messages app and in live chats such as FaceTime.

If you have already created one, with the characteristics of your face (hairstyle, eyebrows, nose, mouth …), but if you have changed something, you may now want the appearance of your Memoji to be similar or similar to the one you have now. What to do about it? A simple option is to edit our Memoji . We explain how.

Editing our Memoji on iPhone easily

Remember that, on iPhone , Memoji are only available through the Messages application. Therefore, you must access the Messages app through the device’s home screen.

Then, once inside the application, we go to any conversation and, in the lower left part of the screen, a three-dot icon will appear. We press it and, once this is done, we must click on the Edit button.

This will allow us to carry out different changes in our Memoji, being able to select a new hairstyle, eyebrows, eyes, head, nose, mouth, ears, facial hair, glasses and even headwear.

In case, yes, you prefer to delete it completely and do it again, you just have to click on the Delete button. If so, it will be necessary to recreate a new one from scratch, as if you were doing it for the first time.

There is no doubt that one of its main advantages is the possibility of taking a screenshot or downloading the image of our Memoji before editing it or creating a new one. In this way, we can store different versions to review them over time.
