If we tend to be aware of the battery of both our mobile phone and our smartwatch, it is quite likely that we will never run out of it, especially at the times when we need to use them the most.
However, sometimes, especially due to the intensive use that we have been able to carry out at certain times, we may find ourselves on the street, without access to our charger, and suddenly we run out of battery in one of the devices , or that it is at very low levels. What to do about it?
It is true that both Android and iOS have a battery saving mode , which offers the possibility of extending the battery of the device a bit until you can return home and charge it. And on the Apple Watch it is also possible to find this option. But how to activate the power saving mode ? We explain it to you.
What is the power saving mode on the Apple Watch?
The energy saving mode , also known as low consumption mode , consists of an extremely useful function when our device is low on battery, in this case on an Apple Watch .
In the case of an iPhone , for example, the operating system asks us to activate it when the mobile phone reaches 20 percent battery. Although it is also possible to activate it at any time we need it, especially when we want to extend the battery life even more .
This functionality disables some basic functions that can cause an increase in common battery consumption, such as Internet connectivity (WiFi), searching for new email or Siri.
If it is an Apple Watch , this function only allows us to check the time , thus deactivating any other function.
How can we activate it?
If you still want to see the time on the Apple Watch, but do not need other functions, you should know that it is perfectly possible to activate the power saving mode , which will offer you the possibility of saving a little battery.
You must bear in mind that, when the watch is in this mode, all functions will be deactivated , except for the time, which will be displayed in green.
Activating it is very simple. We just have to slide our finger up when the clock face is shown , which will activate the Control Center. Then, click on the battery percentage reading , and drag the Battery saving slider.
Now, we simply click on Continue . From that moment on, the power reserve mode will be activated and working.
