A European report from the data storage company Western Digital (WD) reveals that Spaniards save personal files on up to 16 different computers (including mobile phones, tablets, laptops, computers and USB sticks) and 75 percent never make a backup. Only 64 percent have an external hard drive, but that doesn't mean they use it. 80 percent prefer the laptop to store their content , followed by 77.6 percent who opt for the smartphone.
When it comes to backup, 38.4 percent say they don't have time to make a backup, and 12.5 percent don't even care.
Compared to the rest of Europe, Germany and Italy follow Spain in digital disorganization, with a variety of 15 different devices to store data in a scattered way.
The authors of the study warn that, while years ago people had their photographs developed and organized in family photo albums, "now Spain is immersed in a digital chaos in which it depends only on the 'luck factor' to prevent the loss of its photos your most precious files, videos and files.
