The Sun in 4K

That is our sun, a place whose center is at 14 million degrees.

The Sun is that star that is in the center of our solar system and that forms the largest source of electromagnetic radiation in it.

It is a changing star, hence the NASA Solar Dynamics Observatory is always observing, monitoring its changes. The SDO launched in February 2010 is the eye that sees everything 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with a truly privileged view of our solar disk and its particular corona.

The observatory captures images of the sun at
up to 10 different wavelengths; each of them helps to highlight a different temperature of the solar material.

Different temperatures can, in turn, show specific structures of the sun, such as solar flares and coronal mass ejections , those radiation waves and solar wind that can be devastating.

Special attention is paid to them because the Sun regularly bathes the Earth and the rest of our solar system and an intense burst of radiation turned into a solar storm can disrupt technology in space , deactivating a large part of the electrical energy network of the planet and compromise the security of humanity in many respects.

Studying our closest star is
one way to learn about other stars in the galaxy.

Our Sun still has fuel for about 5 billion more years . At that point, it will begin to grow larger and larger until it becomes a red giant, eventually transforming and weakening into a white dwarf.

Because our star is too small to become a great supernova and explode, it will end its days over the next 1 billion years by cooling down and thereby sentencing what little is left of the solar system, since the radiation will have already finished with everything.

Slaves and Disabled: Forced Medical Test Volunteers

The main problem to carry out medical research is to have willing volunteers for it. And if they come out for free, much better. This is the story of unethical behavior in medical research.

How are lightning created?

Summer is synonymous with sun, but also with storms. Who has not contemplated one from the protection that the home gives that electrical display that is lightning?
