Gigi Rote writes multicultural love stories

The Spanish writer has just published, in print and digital formats, the romantic novel “My princess with angel wings”, with which she continues to defend love.

Who is Gigi Rote?

Gigi Rote is a Spanish woman over forty years old. More specifically of the city of Alicante, a town bathed by the Mediterranean. I work giving training to entrepreneurs and has studied a career and several masters; between them, two writing.

Why did you lean towards the romance novel line?

I have always loved reading and although I like all literary genres, the ones I enjoy the most are the romantic and the detective. That is why I decided on the romantic … I suppose because I am a hopeless romantic and I am convinced that without love there is no life. All my friends often say about me that I am the one who knows best how to listen to their love pains.

How did you get to the novel “My princess with angel wings”?

This text comes, like all my novels, of speaking and, above all, listening to many friends and wanting to capture the love between cultures. I am a firm defender of love and I believe that it does not matter where we are from, or how we are because when there is love, everything is possible.

What message do you want to convey to your readers with your romance novel?

Mainly, I want readers to be entertained and enjoy themselves. That for a few hours they forget what surrounds them and immerse themselves in a story of love and life in general.

What does “My princess with angel wings” mean?

For me, it has a very personal meaning because I have written it to my mother, who educated us to fight for what we wanted to be and, above all, to be true to ourselves.

What was the inspiration for this romance novel?

I have many friends who are multicultural couples and it occurred to me. My stories all have a current part, in addition to their romantic content. I also think it is very real.

How do you define this story?

For me, it is a modern day love story. Of a woman who is divorced, with a child and who is getting ahead in a man’s world. What this entails is that she has to fight much more to get things and much more because she is surrounded by a different culture and education.

What advice can you give your readers about dating and overcoming obstacles?

I believe that we all have the right to make mistakes in life. Furthermore, at twenty you see life and love in one way, at thirty, in another; and with forty, from another. I think the best advice is that we never forget why we fell in love with that person with whom we share our life, with his smile, his voice, his look and, most importantly, that we grow together on the path of life.

How do you see the current panorama of world literature?

At this time literature, although it is still read a lot, is somewhat abandoned since it is not read as much as before. That is a great shame, because I think there is a lot to read and there are many very good writers who do not know each other.

How can your romance novel contribute to your readers in these moments of general hopelessness?

I think it can contribute a lot, in addition to moments of entertainment and fun. Above all, knowing that there is always a second chance for everything.

What’s next for Gigi Rote?

I hope many more stories to come. My challenge is that the public can enjoy my romance novels as much as I do when writing them.
