22.3 million people have already received a digital vaccination certificate, which they can show using the Corona app. Vaccinated persons should also receive their proof afterwards.
Berlin – Anyone who has already been vaccinated twice against the corona virus has recently been able to prove this digitally. Ten days after the start of the digital vaccination pass, 22.3 million digital vaccination certificates have already been issued in Germany, as Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) announced on Sunday (June 20, 2021) via the short message service Twitter.
Newly vaccinated people should receive the certificates in vaccination centers and medical practices, but people who have already been vaccinated should also be able to receive them later in pharmacies and in some federal states by post. By the end of June, the digital vaccination certificate should be available to all those who have already been vaccinated and who want to use the certificate via doctors’ practices, vaccination centers and pharmacies.

Digital proof of vaccination on the smartphone: Various Corona apps are available
Vaccinated persons can show their digital vaccination certificate, for example when traveling, in the form of a QR code on their smartphone. A corresponding app must be downloaded for this. This can either be the CovPass app published by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the official Corona warning app (version 2.3 or higher) or, since last Wednesday (June 16, 2021), the Luca app . An EU electronic platform for checking vaccination certificates is to be launched across Europe on July 1, as reported by Agence France-Presse.
If you do not have a smartphone or do not want to use it for proof of vaccination, you can print out the certificate with the QR code. Proof of vaccination status is still possible by means of a yellow vaccination booklet or a doctor’s certificate. (Anna Charlotte Groos with afp)
