We are at a decisive moment to control the pandemic and end it in the coming months. Vaccines have become humanity’s best ally to stop these uncertain months that the world has lived due to the coronavirus.
Experts continue to recommend caution and caution since, even if we are vaccinated, vaccines only help to control the pandemic and that there are no serious diseases, but they do not help to stop transmission.
For this reason, the authorities recommend that people who are already vaccinated continue to maintain basic safety measures such as a mask, hand washing with hydroalcoholic gel and distances.
In this sense, a study carried out by King’s College London together with the company ZOE, has determined a symptom that apparently only people who are vaccinated suffer, and that could also be a symptom of being a carrier of the coronavirus.
Sneeze frequently
According to this study, for which a sample of more than 4 million people has been analyzed, determines that sneezing more than usual can be a symptom of carrying the coronavirus . Vaccinated people will take it as a simple cold, it could even be mistaken for an allergy, but experts recommend that, in such a case, the affected person be isolated and undergo a diagnostic test.
“Interestingly, our data shows that people who had been vaccinated and then tested positive for COVID-19 were more likely to report sneezing as a symptom compared to those who had not received an antidote,” explain those responsible for the study. In this case, the patient will not develop more serious symptoms, since he is inoculated with the vaccine, but he could spread the virus to other people.
Experts recommend that those affected, if they can, isolate themselves until they have a test. In such a case, they recommend that they always wear a tissue to cover their mouth or sneeze into the lower part of the elbow to avoid spreading the drops that come out of each sneeze.
Likewise, they continue to recommend that, if we perceive this symptom of more frequent sneezing than normal, we wash our hands regularly and do not touch eyes, nose or mouth with dirty hands.
It is a symptom that, as the study carried out by King’s College London reveals, would only affect people who are already vaccinated, being different from the common symptoms of the coronavirus that we know as fever, cough or loss of smell and taste.
