Munich – Still standing on stage at such a great age and delighting the audience – at 100 years of age, Herbert Köfer was considered the oldest actor in Germany. Now he passed away on Saturday, July 24th. This was announced by his wife Heike Köfer on Sunday evening.

Herbert Köfer is dead – his greatest TV successes

The actor, voice actor and presenter was on stage for almost 80 years. Was even considered the face of GDR television. In 1952 he read the news in the “Current Camera”. Above all, however, his star role as Grandpa Paul Schmidt in the GDR television series “Pensioners never have time” made him an actor, reports the picture . Younger TV viewers know Köfer from “Nackt unter Wölfen”, as well as “In allerfreund”, “SOKO Leipzig” and “Ein starkes Team”.

He was also already scheduled for a new film with the Horst Krause series on ARD. Filming should start in late autumn, as Bild reports. In an interview with the newspaper, organizer Mario Behnke, who also knew the actor, mentioned: “He told me that he only wanted to make this one film with which he wanted to say goodbye as an actor.”

It is not yet known under what circumstances the 100-year-old actor died.
