Royal fan snapshots are sought and crowned for an exhibition. They should be seen alongside professional photographers and private shots of the Windsors.
LONDON – The Life Through A Royal Lens collection is scheduled for March at Kensington Palace. Works by famous photographers such as Rankin (55) and Annie Leibovitz (72) are on display. There are also private photos of the Windsors and award-winning snapshots by amateur photographers who have had a royal in front of their lens. The search campaign starts immediately:
Who has a creative royal shot on their hard drive?*
Alongside the fan art, behind-the-scenes prints taken by British nobility away from the service of the monarchy are announced, as well as a selection taken by the Windsors themselves. They are all brought together in the palace at Kensington Gardens.
The expectations of the palace-internal recordings should be high. Because both Queen Elizabeth II (95) and Duchess Kate (40) are known for their professional photographs *. The wife of Prince Williams (39) was already part of a presentation. Only Prince Charles* (73) openly distanced himself from his mother’s passion for capturing a moment and currently prefers to fill his own exhibition with painted works*.
So if you’re interested in being displayed alongside some of history’s most legendary depictions of royalty, you can submit your own visual memories of Queen Elizabeth* and her relatives to hrp.org.uk, the Historic Royal Palaces website, or simply email them send to [email protected].
The only condition: the photos must come from official events. Paparazzi photos, i.e. private photos of British palace members, will not be accepted. * 24royal.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
