It’s already the eleventh hurricane of the season. The national weather agency warns of strong gusts and high waves, especially on Saturday.

Tokyo – Foothills of the violent typhoon “Hinnamnor” covered Japan’s southern holiday paradise Okinawa with strong gusts of wind on Thursday. The national weather agency classified the cyclone as “furious” with wind speeds of up to 270 kilometers per hour near its center.

The authority warned of strong gusts and high waves. The eleventh typhoon of the season will approach the island prefecture of Okinawa, also known as “Japan’s Hawaii”, for the weekend and could cause waves up to ten meters high on Saturday, it was said. At the beginning of next week, the typhoon could possibly move towards the southwestern main island of Kyushu. dpa
