
Four people were killed in a serious traffic accident on the B51 in Osnabrück on Sunday night. A car and a truck collided.
Bohmte – Four people died in a head-on collision on Sunday, September 25, 2022, between a car and a truck on federal highway 51 in the Osnabrück district in Lower Saxony. As a result, the vehicle of the family of four, occupied by the 25-year-old father, the 24-year-old mother and his two boys aged 8 months and two years, suddenly came into oncoming traffic.

There the family car collided with the truck of a 41-year-old truck driver. First aiders who had observed the accident at around 1:20 a.m. looked after the people, some of whom were severely trapped, until the rescue workers arrived. The helpers even managed to free a child from the rubble of the wrecked vehicle, according to the police. The remaining three occupants had to be cut out of the wreck by the fire brigade using heavy technical equipment. Despite the efforts of the rescuers, all four family members died at the scene.
