More than a year ago, Thomas Pekny left court after his sex abuse trial as a free man. But now three other women are making allegations against the ex-theater boss.
Munich – More than a year after Thomas Pekny was acquitted, three other women are now alleging abuse against the former Munich theater director. The Munich I public prosecutor’s office is therefore currently conducting two investigations. “It is now about three more victims,” said a spokeswoman for the authority. The three women accuse Pekny of sexual offenses. “Investigations into this are still ongoing.”
The former director of the comedy in the Bayerischer Hof firmly rejects the new allegations. He was innocent, he had his lawyer Florian Zenger align on request.
Pekny was acquitted of the allegation of serious sexual abuse at the end of July last year due to a lack of evidence. In its judgment, the Regional Court of Munich I came to the conclusion that no evidence could be provided. The judge said at the time the acquittal was “a close story”.
The public prosecutor had accused Pekny of approaching drunk women at the Oktoberfest and taking them into the rehearsal rooms of his theater. There he had passed on the sleeping women and made videos and photos of them. Pekny had strictly rejected the allegations of sexual abuse in the process and emphasized that the women had participated voluntarily. dpa
