The Ain al Asad military base , in the Iraqi province of Anbar, was attacked on Sunday afternoon with a rocket, as reported by the Iraqi Armed Forces.
“The Armed Forces are investigating the fall of a Katiusha rocket that did not explode, launched on the Ain al Asad air base. There have been no significant losses ”, reported the press office of the Armed Forces.
Attacks on Baghdad Airport and other military bases with US troops are relatively frequent and are due to pro-Iranian militias seeking to force US troops out of the country.
Last week three projectiles fell on the Balad air base, in the province of Salahudín. Later, four more rockets were located nearby, ready to launch against the base. Ain al Asad's own base was last attacked in May.
The United States has offered rewards of up to three million dollars for information on the attacks that American troops are suffering in the Arab country.
