Aldi is planning a major change for one of its locations in Cologne. Apartments, offices, a day care center and much more are to be built around the Aldi branch.

Cologne – The site of the Aldi branch in Cologne-Ehrenfeld still looks like many other locations of the discounter in Germany. The Aldi branch is located in a typical building surrounded by a parking lot. But that should change soon. Aldi has big plans for the branch: The location should change completely. Up to 100 apartments are to be built around the Aldi branch. A day care center, a café, office space and an underground car park are also planned.
24RHEIN shows the designs and explains how the Aldi branch in Cologne should change.

The Aldi branch itself should also continue to have a permanent place on the site. Around 1400 m 2 of retail space is planned at the Grüner Weg location in Cologne. (mlu)
