Amy Schumer at the demo for abortion law

In the USA there are efforts to overturn the right to swelling. Thousands of people in the United States demonstrated against this, including Hollywood celebrities.

Washington / Los Angeles – The two Hollywood stars Jennifer Lawrence (31) and Amy Schumer (40) demonstrated together with thousands of people in the US capital Washington for the right to abortion.

Comedian Schumer (“Dating Queen”) posted a photo together with Oscar winner Lawrence (“Silver Linings”), who was clearly pregnant, on Instagram. “I have no uterus and she is pregnant, but we are here,” she wrote with the hashtag of the groups that had called for the rally on Saturday.

In the photo, Schumer holds a poster that reads “Abortion is indispensable,” Lawrence carries a sign that states that women are only free if they are allowed to determine their own bodies.

Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer have a two-year-old son. A few weeks ago, the actress announced that she had to have her uterus removed because of an abdominal disease. It was also announced in September that Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney are expecting their first child.

Thousands of people demonstrated for abortion rights in the US capital and other cities across the country on Saturday. The Supreme Court will soon face another attempt to overturn current abortion rights in the United States. dpa
