Barobot is nothing but a robotic bartender project that is capable of preparing any type of cocktail without the need for human intervention.
Its operation is very simple: the robot has a recipe book for 1,000 alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks and a weight sensor to know how much to add of each ingredient to the selected drink. It works with a 7-inch Android tablet in which the recipes are integrated. By selecting the drink, the robot waiter will automatically start preparing it.
Another striking feature of Barobot is that it is an open source project that seeks funding through the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. So much so, that the aspiration of this startup based in the United Kingdom and made up of 10 young enthusiasts, will only see the light if they manage to reach the figure of 90,000 pounds, about 111,000 euros.
Barobot's DIY (Do it Yourself) prototype will cost about 1,000 euros and the fully assembled and ready-to-use version will cost 1,576 euros .
