Blink 182 singer Mark Hoppus has cancer

Los Angeles – The singer of the US rock band Blink 182, Mark Hoppus, claims to have cancer. He has been undergoing chemotherapy for three months, the 49-year-old wrote on Instagram on Wednesday (local time).

It was terrible and he was scared, but he was "blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends" to help him get through it. He did not give any information about the type of cancer.

The musician also posted a photo of himself, which apparently shows him during an infusion. "Yes hello. Cancer treatment, please, ”can be read in the picture. Hoppus still has months of treatment ahead of him. "I try to stay positive and hopeful though," he wrote. He couldn't wait to be cancer free and see his fans at a concert in the near future. dpa
