Her complicity with Nala, her dog, inspired her to share her story through an illustrated book; In addition, he created his venture for the furry ones of the house: Pet Brunch.
How did you decide to write the book “A love without limits”?
The process was very nice, because it was very personal, to channel my feelings of loss of my pet. Nala was a magical being, she changed my life, my goals, she helped me grow as a person and as a woman. His loss was so sudden that he had a thousand mixed feelings. Every day I was at my work, I had to keep my spirits up; so she hadn’t allowed me to have a grieving space for her. His absence hurt me every day and I took refuge in all our memories. That’s when the idea was born, looking for her photos, the moments we lived together, what I wrote to her, her teachings and everything that inspired me to do. I got to that point where I was afraid of forgetting her.
How is the pet food venture intertwined with the book?
At Pet Brunch we do not only sell pet products, it is not like take the food with you. We want to strengthen the bonds between humans and pets. The more aware we are of their well-being and the closer we feel to them, the more difficult it will be to think about situations such as abandonment or abuse. So one of our social goals is to change the world through the love of our furry ones. For that purpose, A Love Without Limits is a perfect match. Building this book will lead you to strengthen all ties with your pets and remember with love all that they have lived together.

How was the production stage of “Un amor sin Límites”?
The idea was to bring the book we made for Nala to reality, to make it something interactive and durable over time; That you can build it, lasting the ten, fifteen or even twenty years that you have your pet with you, so the material was very important as well as the content.
Does the book have any particular purpose?
We wanted the book to adapt to any story, that it was not only focused on my relationship with Nala, but that anyone who had a dog or cat felt that connection. So the original texts had several adaptations and correction of style to bring them to reality. We had a sketch of what we wanted on each page, what each page had to express, we always wanted it to be illustrated, so we looked for a profile that would identify with the content. The idea for the selection was that three people took an abstract of the book and each one illustrated what they felt it transmitted, and when we saw the result the decision was quite easy and there I felt that the objective of the book was beginning to be fulfilled.
Does the title have any justification?
This phrase was born many years ago in a photo of me with Nala. We had a very close relationship, we understood each other perfectly and seeing each other was like seeing two soul mates. It was so amazing how she knew me and how I knew her. We talked, we went to events, she understood everything and I understood her. We trusted each other, even today I think I have many things in me about her. When we looked for titles, we came to that photo, which is as part of the book with Nala, and it was chosen. They are those loves that, even being of different species, connect with our soul.

How did you imagine the book would be received when you came up with the idea of making “A Love Without Limits”?
I wanted it to connect with each person, bring that special, hairy little face automatically into your thoughts, and I feel like we succeeded. Each person who knows him feels something in his heart. That is the feeling we were looking for. It is something that only those of us who have pets understand, it is to feel that love of memories, of the moments that we treasure the most, that sometimes fill our eyes with tears of happiness.
What are people taking when buying the book, beyond the object?
A love without limits is a collector’s item, illustrated by Colombian talent. Its material makes it very special, those things that are more than things, are feelings. I hope it’s like the grandmother’s books or the ones that moms build for their babies, those school yearbooks with all the friends. You have the door to a magical tunnel that you will always take with that being full of hair, a tail, four legs and a ball nose.
Are you planning to publish another edition of the book soon?
I tell you that I am a person who writes for as long as he can remember. Crafts, writing, reading and creativity were an important component in my training, so there will surely be another edition. New things occur to me all the time; one of my specialties is creating experiences that have that unforgettable touch. We have had more ideas for books and accessories from the editorial line, always looking for the component of innovation and feelings to be the protagonist next to our furry ones.
