Bureaucracy at the expense of Hamburg? Corona tests are in short supply – test centers are waiting for approval

Since 2G-Plus was introduced in Hamburg, the need for rapid tests has increased enormously. However, the capacities are low. Is the government getting in its own way with paperwork?

Hamburg – More and more rapid corona tests are needed, but many test centers do not get approval. Since Saturday, December 4th, the 2G-Plus rule for many leisure activities has been in place in Hamburg. This means that those who have recovered and those who have been vaccinated must also be tested again. Sufficient capacities are not yet available because private test centers are not yet allowed to open.
* 24hamburg.de reveals here why non-medical providers of tests still have no approval.

Medical providers such as medical practices, aid organizations or pharmacies can offer corona tests without any problems. Private test centers need a permit for this. The last one expired on October 11th. Two Hamburg test center operators understand that there have to be controls, but the permits are now taking too long for them.

Every day they are confronted with inquiries from citizens who do not understand why the test centers are still closed – especially now that 2G-Plus has been introduced. According to one of the operators, the authorities are suffocating in applications. Nevertheless, the man from Hamburg hopes that the permits will come soon. The need for this is definitely there. * 24hamburg.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
