Selectivity exams are held this week in several autonomous communities: Aragon, Cantabria, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Community of Madrid, Valencian Community, Extremadura, Galicia, Basque Country, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands and Asturias. In Navarra, La Rioja and Murcia the ordinary call took place the first week of June, while in Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla it will be on June 15, 16 and 17. One of the most important aspects for students is the material with which they can attend the Selectivity exams , such as typex. Is allowed?
The truth is that no. The use of the typex is strictly prohibited , and could even lead to the total cancellation of the test. Therefore, if a student makes a mistake when writing a certain word for example, what they should do is cross out and write next. As simple as that. This does not subtract points, but it is still not advisable to abuse. In Selectivity exams every detail counts and it is important to give the best impression and make it easy for whoever has to correct them. And a blade with dozens of studs doesn’t feel good.
But what can happen if a student uses a typex in any of the Selectivity tests? Exactly the same as if you are hunted using a smartphone or a programmable calculator. There are three possible scenarios: qualification of the exam you are taking with 0 points, expulsion from the classroom or even the total cancellation of the Selectividad .
What materials are allowed?
Each student must carry a mask, ID or other identification document, a pen, a pencil and an eraser . In addition, they can carry a bottle of sanitizer gel, disposable tissues and a clear bottle of water without labeling.
As for the materials, they are the following:
- Dictionary of Latin or Greek for the tests of these subjects: if they include any page of literary content, they must be extracted or stapled. No non-original dictionary or loose notebook is allowed.
- Drawing and painting material: for technical drawing tests II.
- Calculator: The calculator cannot be graphical or programmable.
This 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic, a series of anti-COVID measures have been imposed. The use of the mask is mandatory at all times, students must keep a safety distance of 1.5 meters and the classroom windows remain open at all times.
