Limburg – On Friday (October 22nd, 2021) there was a fatal accident in the Limburg-Weilburg district. According to the police, an e-bike driver was hit by a car on a country road and was fatally injured. As the police reported, the 65-year-old cyclist was on his e-bike between the villages of Blessenbach and Elkerhausen near Limburg at around 12 noon on Friday. The man apparently wanted to drive from a dirt road onto the L3021 road.
According to the police, the 65-year-old probably overlooked a car that was driving on the country road. The 48-year-old driver tried to brake, but could no longer prevent a collision. The driver of the e-bike was seriously injured in the impact and flown to a hospital in a helicopter. In the early evening, the cyclist died in the clinic, as the police announced on Saturday night (23.10.2021).
