Celine Dion cancels performances in Las Vegas until February

Singer Celine Dion has been preparing for her shows in Las Vegas for months. Now her health is forcing her to cancel all appearances. The Grammy winner is already in treatment.

Las Vegas – Singer Celine Dion (53, “My Heart Will Go On”) has canceled appearances in Las Vegas due to health problems.

“Severe and persistent muscle cramps” would prevent the singer from being on stage, it said on Tuesday on the star’s website. She was being treated by her medical team, but was currently unable to attend rehearsals for the planned show.

She was “heartbroken,” said Dion. Preparations for the show had been going on for eight months, but now she had to concentrate fully on her health.

All performances canceled until the beginning of February

The new show was due to start on November 5th at the Resorts World Theater in the casino city of Las Vegas (Nevada US). All appearances until the beginning of February have now been canceled.

The Canadian star performed regularly in Las Vegas from 2003 to 2019, with some longer interruptions. The multiple Grammy winner is one of the most successful female pop stars in history, alongside Madonna, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and the late Whitney Houston. dpa
