The effort is obviously too great: the concert with Helene Fischer, which has been broadcast at Christmas for many years, will not be there again this year.

Mainz – The “Helene Fischer Show” at Christmas is also canceled this year. The television show with the singer on ZDF has delighted millions of viewers on Christmas Day for years. It was recently canceled due to the corona pandemic.

The planning and implementation of the show “as one of the largest and most complex indoor productions on German TV is also associated with too many imponderables and production challenges this winter,” said a ZDF spokeswoman for the German Press Agency on Monday. “Together with Helene Fischer and her team, we therefore decided with a heavy heart to suspend the show in 2022.” Previously, “Bild” had reported about the cancellation.

For fans, however, there should be an alternative on television: On October 1, ZDF will show highlights of the Fischer concert that the singer (“Breathless through the night”) gave in Munich in August. The concert film is entitled “Helene Fischer – When everything goes crazy”. dpa
