Colin Farrell spielt Pinguin in „The Batman“-Spin-off

“The Batman” isn’t even in theaters yet. A spin-off is already being worked on – with a prominent cast.

Berlin – According to a media report, Irish actor Colin Farrell will play the penguin again in the spin-off series for the new “Batman” film starring Robert Pattinson.

As the industry journal “Variety” reported, the 45-year-old should also co-produce the series. The spin-off is said to tell the rise of the Batman villain in the criminal underworld of Gotham City. The director of the new “Batman” film, Matt Reeves, will also be there as a producer.

“The Batman” is due to hit theaters in March 2022. Actually, Ben Affleck wanted to slip into the legendary bat costume, but after some back and forth, Robert Pattinson was finally in front of the camera as Batman. Zoë Kravitz will be seen in the spectacle as Catwoman, while Batman seems to encounter some dark opponents: Colin Farrell is the penguin, Paul Dano is the Riddler and John Turturro is the gang boss Carmine Falcone. dpa
