Compulsory vaccinations in the healthcare system are coming. Those who are not vaccinated must expect entry bans. It is decided on a case-by-case basis.
Hamburg – From March 16, vaccinations will be compulsory in certain Hamburg facilities. Anyone who works in outpatient or (partly) inpatient facilities, healthcare companies and in the area of care, nursing and accommodation for elderly, disabled or people in need of care must be vaccinated or have recovered in order to be able to continue doing their job.
24hamburg.de reveals what this means for Hamburg and what happens to unvaccinated people here.
Anyone who has not been vaccinated by March 15th will be reported to the health department by the employer via a simple online service. Depending on the facility, its vaccination rate, staff availability and degree of patient contact, it must then decide whether the person concerned can continue to work or is banned from entering the workplace.
The city of Hamburg does not have to worry about staff shortages in its hospitals and care facilities. According to the website of the city of Hamburg, the vaccination rate is 90 percent in inpatient care and in Hamburg’s hospitals. In the day care even 96 percent and in the integration assistance 94 percent are vaccinated. Only in outpatient care are the numbers lower. The vaccination rate there is 88 percent. * 24hamburg.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
