Deutz fair 2022: when is family day?
If you want to visit the rides at the Deutzer Herbstkirmes 2022 for half price, you’ve come to the right place on November 2, 2022. Because on this Wednesday the family day takes place at the fair and brings a discount of 50 percent for roller coasters, carousels and the like. “We also open an hour earlier that day,” Willi Krameyer from GKS told 24RHEIN.
Deutzer Herbstkirmes 2022: Will there be fireworks? When does this take place?
The Deutz fair 2022 will be heralded on the opening day (October 28) with a large fireworks display, and there will also be one at the end on the last Saturday of the fair (November 5). It is not yet explicitly known at what time the light spectacle in Cologne will take place. Nevertheless, you can look forward to fireworks twice in autumn 2022.
Safety concept: This is how the Deutz fair should be safer and cleaner in autumn 2022
Last spring, the twice-yearly Deutz fair in Cologne also made negative headlines when there were riots, especially on family day. This is to be avoided this autumn – thanks in part to a new safety concept that primarily addresses the issues of “waste/pollution”, “traffic” and “safety” in general. Blocked streets, wild peepers and rioters in particular caused problems a few months ago. This should not be repeated again.
Deutzer Kirmes 2022 in Cologne: What are the effects of the energy crisis on the folk festival?
Of course, the ever-present energy crisis also has an impact on the folk festival at the Deutz shipyard. Individual rides and booths would become more expensive, according to Willi Krameyer from GKS to 24RHEIN. As Alexander Gillgen, also from GKS, explains, this year the company is already more economical in terms of energy consumption. “The showmen, for example, switched to LED years ago. In addition, the stalls are only fully illuminated when it is completely dark,” he names just two savings measures.
