Donald Trump is said to have kept a corona infection a secret before the TV duel with Joe Biden. What is known, however, is the former president’s menu after his illness.
Washington – His passion for cheeseburgers and fast food is no secret. Donald Trump himself has already repeatedly emphasized his preference for the well-known burger from the fast food chain McDonald’s. Less known, on the other hand, was the fact that the former president of the USA had apparently been infected with the corona virus much earlier than reported.
Mark Meadows, former White House chief of staff under Donald Trump, revealed this in a recently published book. Accordingly, the infection in Trump should have been found before his TV duel with Joe Biden. His team had kept this information secret, according to Meadows, in order to allow the appearance of the elected president. The British daily Guardian first reported on it. Trump denied the claims of his former high-ranking employee and called them “fake news” in the old fashion.
Donald Trump: First corona infection, then McDonald’s food
Donald Trump’s corona infection was announced on October 2nd last year. The then US President went straight to the Walter Reed Military Hospital in Washington DC. His wife Melania Trump also tested positive for the Sars-CoV-2 pathogen at the time. The first lady remained symptom-free.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, had to be treated with medication and received the preparation Regeneron. The US president recovered quickly from his corona illness. Now Maggie Haberman, a reporter for the New York Times, reports that Trump, barely cured of Covid-19, had his favorite food delivered to the hospital. “Trump had McDonald’s brought to Walter Reed shortly after Regeneron began to work,” wrote Haberman Friday night (local time) on Twitter. The burgers – presumably with a portion of french fries – had to be eaten by Trump and his team “because of the doctors’ instructions with face shields, which none of them were enthusiastic about,” said Haberman.
In addition to McDonald’s, there are other fast-food options on Donald Trump’s menu. According to his former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, it consists mainly of four groups: “McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza and Coca Cola light”. Lewandowski once wrote that in his book about the time with Trump. A typical Trump meal from McDonald’s therefore includes: “Two Big Macs, two Filet-o-Fishs and a chocolate milkshake.” (Daniel Dillmann)
