Duchess Kate: "William worries if I meet under one-year-olds"

Duchess Kate meets parents and babies on her solo date in Denmark, which rekindles the rumor mill about a fourth child.

Copenhagen – The Duchess of Cambridge, 40, has hinted in the past that she and Prince William, 39, have no plans to have any more children. But that doesn’t seem to stop the mother-of-three from getting “thoughtful” when she’s around babies. The mother of three children was also confronted with infants during her annual visit to Denmark.*

Duchess Kate: “William worries if I meet under one-year-olds”

It is not for nothing that Duchess Kate*, the mother of Prince George* (8), Princess Charlotte* (6) and Prince Louis* (3), made early childhood development one of the most important concerns of her royal work. Apparently, dealing with the little ones is becoming an occupational hazard.

Duchess Kate smiles pensively at the Children’s Museum in Frederiksberg, where she met lots of parents and babies.

“It makes me very brooding,” Kate admitted during the outing. “William always worries when I meet under one year olds. When I get home I’m like, ‘Let’s do another one.’” There is a grain of truth in these kinds of jokes.

On the very first day of her royal tour of Denmark, Prince Williams’ wife met parents and their babies during a visit to the University of Copenhagen. The focus was on promoting psychological well-being and the relationships between babies and their parents, a part of her heart project*.

Duchess Kate: Do the couple’s wishes differ for baby number 4?

Rumors of a baby number 4 in Kensington Palace have been around for a long time*. Just last month, during a visit to the Cambridges in Lancashire, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II*, 95, openly joked about Kate’s emotional flush when meeting the youngest: “Don’t give my wife any more silly ideas!”

Of course, like any mother, Kate appreciates the fact that her children are becoming more independent and that she is reclaiming a little more time for herself, her marriage* and work. Still, there were always hints that another addition to the family would be welcome.
