Hamburg is thinking about prohibited zones for New Year's Eve fireworks after the corona pandemic. That is not enough for the Naturschutzbund. NABU calls for a general ban on fireworks.
Hamburg – The corona pandemic will also have an impact on this year's New Year's Eve celebrations in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, that's for sure. There will be no official fireworks, the city of Hamburg will set up prohibited zones for fireworks in the city center. But even for the time after Corona, the red-green Senate is thinking about alternatives to the New Year's Eve custom. Because even before Corona there had been an increasing number of incidents and the noise and garbage pollution on the end of the year days has been viewed as a problem for some time.
24hamburg.de * reveals here why NABU is even calling for a general ban on fireworks forever.
Incidentally, the city of Hamburg itself is testing, among other things, laser shows as an environmentally friendly variant, which would not cause any noise, garbage or increased fine dust pollution. * 24hamburg.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
