In the seventh attempt, the euro jackpot was cracked: A player from Hessen can look forward to the mega profit of 90 million euros.
Helsinki / Münster (dpa) – The Eurojackpot, which is filled with a maximum of 90 million euros, goes to a single winner in Hessen.
With the winning numbers 15 – 26 – 35 – 37 – 43 and the two Euro numbers 3 and 8, after six weeks without a main prize, a player was right this time, as Westlotto announced on Friday evening after the draw in Helsinki.
The German lottery record was set again. Most recently, in January 2021, a player from East Westphalia won over 90 million euros. In the previous year, a player from Münsterland cracked the jackpot in February and a single winner from Bavaria in May. In 2016, a player from Baden-Württemberg cleared 90 million euros for the first time – at that time the highest win in German lottery history.
There is also every reason to celebrate for winners in the second prize category: five tipsters from Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saxony, Denmark and the Czech Republic will each receive 2,724,741 euros.
Previously, the Eurojackpot had not been cracked six times. Since the start of the Eurojackpot in 2012, the European lottery had reached the statutory upper limit for the 13th time.
