The social network Facebook has finally launched Notify , a news application for smartphones that sends us quick notifications based on our interests with the possibility of accessing the full content at the click of a button from our mobile device.
At the moment, the app is available for Apple iOS devices and exclusively for US users, although the company has announced that it will soon move Notify to more countries and also to other mobile operating systems such as Android.
The strong point of Notify is precisely that, the notifications. The user will receive alerts about articles and publications (from the time, the latest films that are going to be released in the cinema or the traditional informative alerts) from the media and content creators – for now there are more than 70 media outlets that are part of this network , including The New York Times, Vogue or Fortune magazine – and after reading the short excerpt, you will have the opportunity to read that content either at the same time or save it for later.
The mobile phone has become a priority support for access to news and Facebook has been clear about this from the beginning, especially after knowing that more than 894 million of the more than 1,000 million users who enter this network every day social they do it through their mobile.
