Prince Harry, Prince William, Duchess Kate and Meghan Markle were once considered the “Fab Four”. It’s different after Harry’s Royals exit. Even the joint appearance at the Queen’s funeral was probably a show.
LONDON – The death of their grandmother seemed to unite the estranged brothers Prince William and Prince Harry. After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, they appeared together in front of Windsor Castle, together with their families they also walked behind the Queen’s coffin at the funeral. Certainly not easy for the two brothers, which an insider has now confirmed to the “People” magazine.
United at Queen’s death: Harry and William make ‘major demonstration’ of unity
On September 10, 2022, two days after Queen Elizabeth II’s death at Balmoral Castle, Kate and William took a walk together with Harry and Meghan. They accepted flowers and shook hands with citizens. According to Kensington Palace, William and Kate are said to have invited Harry and Meghan to the tour together.
A source told People that Prince William saw this as an “important show of unity at an incredibly difficult time for the family.” And further: “It is such an extraordinary historical moment and also a deeply personal one for the family that one hopes and thinks that all members of the family unite. And maybe some of those wounds can be healed in the process.”
William, Kate and Camilla’s titles change after the death of the Queen
William and Kate are no longer called Duke and Duchess of Cambridge due to Prince William’s new ranking as heir to the throne. Instead, “Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge” is now correct. The title of Duke of Cornwall is traditionally borne by the reigning British monarch’s eldest son, while his wife, Kate Middleton, assumes the title of Duchess of Cornwall. William and Kate appear to continue to hold the titles Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, according to the royals’ Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Duchess Camilla is now “Queen Consort” alongside King Charles III.

“Difficult” clash: No reconciliation between Harry and William
But of course it wasn’t that easy and so it says: “It was embarrassing. Both couples found it difficult,” but “they were stoic and just stuck it out for the queen.” Soon after the grandmother’s death ceremonies wrapped, Meghan and Harry flew back to their native California. The two probably refrained from a final reconciliation talk.
Another insider explained a spicy scene that is said to have happened in the background of the royals. So Queen Camilla apparently spat out her tea again when she heard about Prince Harry’s reconciliation proposal.
