Three, four or even six corners for the eye: The currently popular glasses frames have a clear geometric structure. And if you have angular features, you will also find round frames among the trends.
Berlin – after the double bridge comes the hexagon – as the current eyewear trend. According to the Board of Trustees, the unusual frame with six corners creates an exciting symbiosis between retro charm and futurism, and it goes with the trendy street style.
The experts recommend this type of lens for people with round facial contours and full, soft features. The hexagon acts as a contrast to it. The tip: The glasses should be chosen so that the eyebrows run parallel to the upper contour.
The round glasses for distinctive features
The counter-trend to this is circular glasses. The good news: it fits almost all faces. Above all, however, to angular, very distinctive features, because the round shape acts like a soft focus on it. The advice here is that the top line of the frame ideally follow the curved browbones.

If you have straight brows, panto glasses are better. This model is still round at the bottom, but flattened oval at the top. You can recognize them mainly by their eye-catching nose bridge and protruding hinge attachments.
The square glasses for large faces
But back to the corners: Four in a square is the third shape of glasses that the Board of Trustees names as a trend for winter. Experts see this type of glasses on people with an elegant style or with a cool casual style.
Since the square glasses have a large area, they are most likely to suit faces that are also slightly larger. Straight brows are important because the upper edge of the glasses is also straight. By the way: the large glass surface is a plus if you want to use non-transparent lenses.
The triangle for athletes
The triangle is still missing from the most important geometrical forms. Or as the glasses experts say: the triangle, even if it is worn upside down on the face – so wide at the top and narrow at the bottom.
The Board of Trustees sees this type of glasses in people with a sporty look and those who wear streetwear. You shouldn’t resort to it if the forehead is narrow and the lower half of the face has a dominant effect. dpa
