In Greece, a German tourist went to the beach on the island of Crete and disappeared without a trace. Since then there has been no trace of the man.
Athens – A German tourist disappeared without a trace after visiting the beach during his vacation in Greece. His wife then reported the 73-year-old missing on Monday evening (October 3). Since then, the police have been looking for the man, but so far without success.
Greece: German tourist disappeared on Crete
As reported by Greek media, the German had previously stayed with his wife in the south-east of the island of Crete. The couple had actually spent their vacation together there. According to reports, the 73-year-old went to the beach near the town of Lerapetra on Monday and never came back.
Out of concern for her husband, the woman then alerted the police, who have been looking for the German since Monday. A helicopter is said to have been in action on Tuesday, the next day. So far, however, only the tourist’s backpack has been found on the beach, and there is still no trace of the man himself.
Most recently, a Briton died on his return journey from Mykonos to London. He was hit by a rotor blade, the descriptions of the accident differed greatly.
