Las Vegas – Germany has a third world poker champion: Born in Berlin, Koray Aldemir won the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas and pocketed eight million dollars (around 7 million euros) in prize money.

The 31-year-old prevailed on Wednesday evening (local time) against the British Jack Oliver and the American George Holmes, as the organizer announced.

In addition to the prize money, Aldemir can also take home a diamond-studded bracelet, it said.
