Harald & Sonja from Norway: Your love story will be made into a film

King Harald V and his wife Sonja did not have an easy start, but have been married for over 50 years. Their love story is even supposed to be turned into a film.

Oslo – King Harald V (84) had to fight for a long time to be allowed to lead the commoner Sonja Haraldsen (84) to the altar. Despite all adversity, the couple married in 1968 and have lived side by side ever since – if that’s not the subject of a love story!
24royal.de * reveals what is already known about the film “Harald & Sonja”.

Sonja Haraldsen did not have an easy start in the Norwegian royal family. When the commoner met the then Crown Prince Harald and the two fell in love, his father was not a great friend of the connection. King Olav V (87, † 1991) initially did not want to accept a popular daughter-in-law. Sonja was very educated, cultivated and beautiful, but not of royal descent. Harald stuck to his choice and fought for his love. For nine years he tried again and again to convince his father that Sonja was the right one. After a long time of fear and hope, the regent finally consented and on August 29, 1968 the Crown Prince was finally allowed to lead his chosen one to the altar. This was followed by two children – Princess Märtha Louise (50) and Crown Prince Haakon (48) – and a scandal-free relationship that continues to this day. * 24royal.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
