Some hairstyles only succeed with a lot of styling agents for extra hold. Styling glue and the like are used for these styles.
Berlin – most people probably know hairspray. But “glue” or “gum” for hair? That doesn’t sound good for the hairstyle at first. Behind the designation, however, are tools for unusual hair styling.
Styling Glue, as the name suggests, actually has a strong adhesive consistency. According to Haut.de, the gel is suitable for short to medium-length hair. It can be used, for example, to create hedgehog looks, i.e. hairstyles in which the strands of hair should stick out from the head like spikes.
For styling, a small amount is rubbed into the palms of the hands and worked into dry or towel-dried hair. Don’t let the name mislead you. In contrast to real glue, styling glue for hair can also be easily washed out again.
Styling gum for flexible hold
Some hair styles require extremely strong hair that can be shaped flexibly at the same time, styling gum can help. The emulsions based on fatty alcohols, waxes, emulsifiers and setting polymers are worked into damp or dry hair. Then bring the hairstyle into the desired shape and blow-dry it or let it air dry.
Hair fixatives also help with flyaway hair
According to Haut.de, acrylic hair gel with smoothing ingredients such as pro-vitamin B5 ensures “almost indestructible hold”. For styling, work the gel into dry hair in sections with your fingers. However, the acrylic gel is not suitable for blow-dried hairstyles.
Hair fixatives can provide a better hold here. They are available as mousses or as liquid or spray lotions and are applied to damp hair. They also prevent the hair from “flying” from static electricity. dpa
