Whether you use Apple AirPods , or use any other wireless headset , it is possible that at some point you have encountered the problem of not knowing where you put one of them.
This tends to be even more common when we are used to using a single earphone, so that when they speak to us or want to hear something from outside, when we remove it from our ear, it is most normal for us to place it on top of a shelf or bookcase. And that, in addition, we end up leaving it forgotten, without knowing later where we have put it. What can we do to find it?
Unlike other wireless headphones, in the case of AirPods it is true that Apple tends to make it a little easier for us. And it does so thanks, precisely, to the same application that we can use to find our iPhone, iPad or Mac when we have left it forgotten somewhere (or it has been stolen): indeed, the Search app that we will find on all Apple devices .
Finding our lost AirPods with Find My iPhone
This time we find a useful functionality, especially for when we have lost the two headphones, and we do not know where they are. We just have to open the Search application on the iPhone .
We select the Devices tab at the bottom, and select the AirPods . Then the application will show us the last known location of the area where the iPhone was connected, with the information displayed directly on a map.
This option is ideal, for example, when we have accidentally left them forgotten at work, or on public transport. In case you have forgotten them at home, although it does not offer a location to the millimeter, at least we will know that they are not far.
How to make a sound to find the lost AirPod
It is evident that the tricks that we have proposed previously are not very useful for the subject that interests us, and that it is none other than finding one of the two AirPods , since it is lost.
Although at the moment the Search application is not able to identify the location of the AirPod individually, we can play a sound to, at least, find the lost one if it is originally close to us.
To do this, we must open the Search application on the iPhone. Now we select the Devices tab, which we will find at the bottom, and select our AirPods .
Now, we touch Play sound . Right at that moment the headphones will start playing a sound. From that moment on we will only have to follow the sound until we find them.
