Until recently, it was not so easy to record the iPhone screen unless we installed an app that fulfilled that function. However, after the arrival of iOS 14 , the new and revolutionary version of the iPhone and iPad operating system, we will now find a practical function within the Control Center that will offer us the possibility of recording what we are doing on the screen.
This is a great option when, for example, we want to guide a user to carry out a tutorial through a certain application, capture a game or demonstrate the existence of a possible error. In addition, it is a practical function available on both iPhone and iPad . As long as, of course, they work with iOS 14.
Enabling the screen recording button on iPhone or iPad
Most likely, the screen recording icon is not available in the Control Center. However, it is possible to add it to this application through Settings .
To do this, we must go to the Settings application, which, as you will surely know, will be located on the home screen of our device. Click on Control Center and select the option Customize controls .
Once this is done, we click on the ” + ” button that we will find next to Screen recording . In this way, we will add it to this section.
How to record the screen
Once we have enabled the screen record button from the Control Center, we simply have to open the Control Center by sliding our finger towards the bottom of the home screen (right where the battery level information icons, WiFi connectivity are located or data and coverage).
Click on the icon to record the screen , which has been designed with two nested circles. From that moment, the iPhone or iPad will start recording videos of our screen automatically after a three-second countdown.
While screen recording is on, a red bar will appear at the top of the screen. In this way we will know when the application is recording or not.
To end the screen recording , you can return to the Control Center and click on the screen recording icon , or touch the red bar at the top of the screen. We will only have to confirm that we want to end the recording.
