How to save our Instagram stories

Instagram Stories offer us the possibility of publishing photos and videos on our profile on this social network, but with the added advantage that they could only be visible for a certain period of time.

In fact, regardless of whether it is a photographic or video story, both posts have an expiration date , so they will disappear 24 hours after they are uploaded .

It is a feature that was officially launched in August 2016. And, today, its more than 500 million Instagram users use it daily as a way to increase their reach or participation, thanks to the various advantages it offers. .

Of course, this does not necessarily mean that, once they disappear, they will cease to be visible forever. In fact, there are different methods that we can use to save our Instagram stories .

How to archive stories in the Instagram mobile app

Archiving a story becomes one of the easiest and simplest options when it comes to creating a backup of our Instagram stories. Of course, we must configure it before since it is not an option that can be configured at the time we want to save a story. On the contrary, it will be enough to do it beforehand so that we do not have to worry more about saving our stories in the future.

To do this, we must open the Instagram app that we will find on the home screen of our device. Click on our profile icon and then touch the three horizontal lines and then click on Settings .

Then, we touch Privacy and History . In the Save section we simply activate the option to save Instagram stories in our file. Of course, it is also possible to choose the photo reel of our phone (enabling the option to Save in gallery ).

How to save Instagram stories by downloading them to your phone

If instead of archiving them what we want is to have our Instagram stories on our Android or iPhone mobile phone, it is possible to download them from the Instagram mobile app. But with differences: if you have an Android it will be necessary to store each story individually, while if you have an iPhone you can even save a complete story with different videos.

To do this, you must open the Instagram application and touch the Your story button (which is located in the upper left corner of the screen). We visualize the story that we want to download and, before it finishes playing, we touch the icon with three horizontal dots and select the option ” Save … “.

We now select Save Photo / Video to save that specific story. But if what we want is to save all current stories through a single video, we can select the Save story option.

In these two different ways we can have our favorite stories archived on our Instagram profile or on the reel of our mobile phone.
