Although changing mobile phones does not have to be cumbersome, it is true that everything is a little easier when we do not change the brand or operating system. However, the same will not happen when we switch between SOs; for example, from Android to iPhone or from iPhone to Android .
And the complication derives from the large amount of data that we would like to pass from one device to another, among which are possibly the phone contacts , since without them we will hardly be able to get in touch with our friends, family or work colleagues, since we would have to consult the phone numbers manually.
Luckily, moving your contacts from iOS to Android is easier than you think. And we explain how you can do it.
How to move contacts using our Google account
If we are changing an iPhone for an Android mobile phone, everything will be easier if we use a Google account on our iOS device. Even if we use our Apple ID, the system offers us the possibility of adding many accounts, including Google or Gmail. In this way, we can choose which data to transfer between accounts.
To do this, we must log into our Google account , or create a new account if we do not have one. Then, we go to the Settings application that we will find on the iPhone home screen, then click on Mail and Accounts .
We add the account in case we have not done it before, or click on the one created previously. Once we are on the screen that interests us, we select the options that we are interested in to be synchronized, among which is Contacts . Clever!
Now we just have to start configuring our Android device and log in with our Google account .
Using iCloud
The iCloud sync service itself, which we commonly use on the iPhone or Android, also offers us the ability to conveniently transfer and move contacts from an iOS to an Android.
To do this, we must go to the Settings app, then click on Mail , and then click on the iCloud account. Once this is done, we click on iCloud again and make sure that the Contacts option is activated (with the switch enabled in green).
Once this is done, we must go to the official iCloud website, and log in with our Apple ID. Then, click on Contact , All contacts , and click on the settings icon that we will find located at the bottom of the page. Then, click on the Export vCard button, which will create a VCF file that, later, we can import to our new Android.
