Both the iMac and the Macbook (regardless of whether it is the Air or Pro version), come equipped with a wide variety of different functions and features. Although it is true that in each of them we can find a basic function: a camera , which is located in the upper central part of the screen.
It is true that the quality of these cameras seems to improve with each new generation that Apple launches, thus becoming a tremendously functional accessory, and very easy and simple to use.
In fact, the integrated camera is useful in different circumstances, to which is added the ease with which we can activate and use it. For example, it can be an ideal option to record a video with our Mac, either because we are conducting a tutorial, or because we are having a video chat with any other user.
In most cases, when we use an application that requires the use of the camera, the most common thing is that it is activated immediately from the moment we start said application (yes, as long as at the beginning we have given it access and permission to use it).
However, sometimes we may simply need to enable the camera on Mac , for example, to be able to see ourselves on the screen. If so, then we explain the steps to follow.
How to Enable Camera on Mac Easily
First of all, we must go to the Finder application, which we can find in the icon bar at the bottom of the screen. Now, we open the Applications folder.
Once this is done, we proceed to select an application that uses the iSight camera, such as FaceTime , which is Apple’s instant messaging and video conferencing application.
As soon as we open the iSight-compatible app, the camera will be activated . How do you know? Very simple: a green indicator light will appear on the monitor. Obviously, this does not mean that the camera is recording, but it does mean that it is active.
From then on, you’re ready to take photos, record a video, or simply start video chatting with anyone else.
