Hurry: Tickets to travel from Santa Lucia at its inauguration are 'flying'

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador promised to inaugurate the Felipe Ángeles International Airport on March 21, 2022. That day, Viva Auerobus and Volaris will launch operations with destinations in Tijuana, Monterrey and Cancún.

Well, according to the official pages of these airlines, the tickets to travel to Cancun are already sold out and the availability for other destinations such as Tijuana, Monterrey or Guadalajara is limited.

Ticket availability for the opening day was limited by both airlines. And Aeroméxico, which recently announced that it will also operate from AIFA, has not yet opened flights for March 21.

Volaris will begin operations at the new airport with flights to Tijuana, at a cost of 1,394 pesos, at regular price, and 1,244 pesos with Volaris membership. Although the Airport Use Fee (TUA) must be added to this price, to obtain a final price of 1,679 pesos.

There are still places for this flight that is scheduled to depart at 1:20 p.m., bound for Tijuana, Baja California. For subsequent days, the rates, not counting TUA, range between 414 and 724 pesos. It is important to mention that this cost is for traveling without checked baggage.

Now, if you want to travel to Cancun by Volaris, there is bad news, there are no more tickets for the opening day of the AIFA. The option is to travel the following days with prices ranging from 414 pesos to 694 pesos.

Travel in Viva Aerobus from Santa Lucia

The day of the inauguration of the Felipe Ángeles, Viva Aerobus has a direct flight to Monterrey at 12:30 PM, with a cost of 139 pesos, in its zero rate and without including the Airport Use Fee.

Although it also has one to the same destination, but with a stopover in Guadalajara, at 12:00 PM. This has a cost of 2,410 pesos.

For Guadalajara, on the opening day, the ticket will cost 889 pesos, with the Viva Aerobus zero rate.
