But prolonged heat can also cause completely different problems for people. In many regions of the world there is a lack of water due to persistent drought and too little rain. Germany is rarely affected by this, however. A place in Baden-Württemberg is currently complaining about water scarcity – the reasons are still unclear. As BW24 * reports, a community in the southwest turned off drinking water for citizens at night.
