Hamburg – A special kind of vaccination campaign: On Wednesday, people who want to be vaccinated against Corona can be chauffeured to their appointment in a luxury car in Hamburg.
The event was organized by several companies in the Hanseatic city. So you want to create an incentive to get vaccinated, it said. The destination of the shuttle is a hotel in the St. Pauli district. This is also where the vaccination takes place – on the 20th floor with a view over the Elbe and the Port of Hamburg.
Interested parties had to register beforehand. Most recently there had also been vaccination campaigns in the Elbphilharmonie, in the book halls or in the Volksparkstadion.
Meanwhile, the Hamburg Senate has announced that it will expand the so-called 2G rule. In the future, theaters, cinemas, leisure facilities and hotels will only be allowed to be visited by vaccinated and convalescent people. Stricter 2G rules have been in place in the Hanseatic city since last weekend.
According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), 75.6 percent of the people in Hamburg were vaccinated at least once on Tuesday, 73.7 percent have complete vaccination protection.
