Why this day
On September 4, international Taekwondo day was declared in memory of the date on which it began to be recognized as an official Olympic sport, which was September 4, 1994.
When does it emerge and become more and more popular?

It was born in Korea and it is a martial art that has similarities with many others such as karate. It should be noted that there are differences between the various styles.
Competition in the Olympic Games
It was at the 1988 Seoul Olympics that it made its first Olympic appearance as an exhibition sport. A total of 183 athletes (120 men and 63 women) from 34 different countries in 8 different weight divisions participated in these Olympics.
Later, at the Barcelona 92 Olympics it once again had a presence as an exhibition sport. Finally, it was at the 2000 Sydney Olympics that Taekwondo became an Official Olympic Sport.
Taekwondo techniques
On the international day of taekwondo it is necessary to specify what its different techniques are. There are the kicks (chagui), which focus on the attack on the trunk or the head.
